Built for spotting. Not tracking.
SeenCars starts with private collections and strict product boundaries around plates, owners, and public location output.
Your saved spots start private.
SeenCars stores the information needed for your collection while keeping exact spot locations private. Saved and displayed images use plate blurring, and plate text is not stored.
The product does not offer plate, VIN, owner, registration, or personal-data lookup.
Private by default
A new collection is not published as a public activity feed.
Plate blur
Plate coordinates are used for redaction, not plate-text recognition.
No owner lookup
SeenCars identifies vehicles, not the people connected to them.
No live map at launch
Exact real-time public vehicle location is outside the launch posture.
Public output requires different safeguards.
Public map and community feed features are planned only after enough public spot data exists and separate safety, moderation, delay, precision, suppression, and privacy controls are approved.
Public output is intended to use delayed and privacy-safe location derivatives rather than expose a live exact map.
This page explains the current product approach. It is not a substitute for the formal privacy notice required before external personal-data processing.
